Our Mission
Our mission is to provide the performance and racing communities with high quality and innovative automatic transmissions, torque converters, valve bodies, and parts. We strive to offer personal service to the customer.
We have actual technicians, not sales people, speak with our customers to handle their questions and concerns. We know this level of service has become rare, but at Jake's Performance, we believe that personal attention and
outstanding products are vital to keeping customers, and growing our business.
OUR FACILITY
Our facility is in a 21,000 sq ft building about an hour North-West of the Dallas/Ft. Worth metroplex just off Highway 114 in Bridgeport. We have full rebuild, repair, machining, welding, and testing capabilities that include 4 manual lathes, CNC milling machines, CNC lathe, MIG/TIG welders, media blasting, aqueous spray wash cabinets, solvent and aqueous parts washers, transmission dyno, 4 vehicle lifts, torque converter rebuilding equipment, and more.
Our Process
We begin the transmission rebuild process by selecting cores for rebuild.
They are disassembled in the tear-down area where parts are inspected and discarded if they are unserviceable or don’t meet our specifications. The cases go through a thorough cleaning process and are then prepped and painted. The internals are washed in solvent or hot detergent and compressed air and placed in a container to go to the build area.
Each order is meticulously crafted to cater to your unique requirements. Our skilled builders carefully select the core components, ensuring thorough cleaning and precision assembly. From machining parts to perfecting clutch pack clearance, we adhere to highest rebuild standards.
Once the transmission is expertly assembled, it undergoes rigorous testing in our Dyno area. From evaluating pressure and flow, to ensuring smooth shifting and optimal function, every aspect is meticulously checked before being carefully packaged for shipping.
